Dancers on Ice in Manhattan
For the fourth year, Bryant Park in midtown Manhattan has hosted the Tartan Kilt Skate NYC. This year, once again, skaters gathered in their kilts and tartans to celebrate Scottish heritage.
And again, the skaters were accompanied by the NYU Pipe Band.
It all took place at Bryant Park, at the Bank of America Winter Village.
Each year, the event is organized and hosted by the American Scottish Foundation, and once again this year, the skaters at Bryant Park were also treated to a display of Highland dancing.
Following the off-ice performance, the dancers take their bow…
… and then they take to the ice .
As a group, the dancers take a few turns around the rink.
But among the many joys of skating is the way you can do it as a group, or on your own.
Thanks again to the American Scottish Foundation’s Camilla Hellman for organizing another wonderful NYC event.
We’re looking forward to many more Tartan Kilt Skates in NYC and across the USA.
