When: Saturday, February 19, 2-6 pm
Where: Tracadie Community Centre
148 Station Road, Tracadie Cross, PEI
Join us in celebrating the 250th anniversary of the arrival from Scotland of the Glenaladale settlers. Take to the ice in your kilts and tartans. You don’t need a kilt. You don’t need to be Scottish. But bring a Scottish spirit of fun and fortitude!
And while you’re waiting for the community event, why not take part in our “Home Edition” of the Great Canadian Kilt Skate.
All through January and February skaters across Canada are taking to the ice in their tartans and kilts. As individuals and small, socially-distanced groups they’re heading to the ODR, the backyard rink, the pond down the road or the river you can skate away on.
Send pictures of you and your family and friends kilt skating to: #TartanUp #kiltskate2022PEI #ScotlandIsNow. Or email your photos and videos to kiltskatemedia@ottscot.ca.
Help Prince Edward Island win this year’s competition to be named the Kilt Skate Capital of Canada!
Get active, celebrate your Scottish heritage in kilts and tartans, and join the fun!
