Hey, Toronto, let’s celebrate our Scottish heritage. Let’s join with cities and towns across Canada in the Great Canadian Kilt Skate.
Covid rules may present us from getting together for a community event. But that shouldn’t stop any of us from taking part in the “Home Edition” kilt skate.
All through January and February skaters across Canada are taking to the ice in their tartans and kilts. As individuals and small, socially-distanced groups they’re heading to the ODR, to NPS, to the backyard rink, the pond down the road or the river you can skate away on.
Send pictures of you and your family and friends kilt skating to: #TartanUp #kiltskate2022GTA #ottscot #ScotlandIsNow or email them to kiltskatemedia@ottscot.ca.
Help Toronto win this year’s competition to be named the Kilt Skate Capital of Canada!

Join us for a kilt skate like no other!
It combines the annual Great Canadian Kilt Skate community event with this year’s innovative Home Edition.
We be skating on our own in our safe bubbles, but we’ll be joined together by Zoom.

We encourage everyone to have their own socially-distanced, bubble-protected, safe and healthy kilt skate.
Wear your tartan. Wear your kilt. Take to the ice in your backyard, on your community rink or the the pond down the road. Please stay safe!
POST your photos and videos with the hashtags
#kiltskate2021GTA
#OttScot
#ScotlandIsNow.
THEN…
SEND your photos, videos and stories to kiltskate@cassoc.ca or visit http://mapleleafmacgregor.ca/upload/ to upload them. We’ll put them together to share at the party.
